In-Person Treatment

Psychiatric Medication
Medication can provide a helpful bridge for treatment. Psychiatric medication is provided by the board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) on our staff. Counseling in conjunction with medication has proven to be most effective in alleviating symptom distress. Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will spend quality time with you to determine if medication is appropriate and if so, will focus on your medication management, providing medications and referrals as indicated.
TeleMental Health
TeleMental health allows you to meet with your therapist whether you are at home, at work or too busy to make it into the Vitality Counseling office. It creates a space for those who may be ill, are caring for loved ones at home or simply feel more comfortable in their homes. We use a HIPAA-compliant platform, Simple Practice, to secure online privacy.
Accessing online therapy is simple. Your therapist will send you a link to click a few minutes before your appointment, and you will arrive in a virtual waiting room. Your therapist will start the appointment shortly.
To help maintain privacy, there are some steps you can take:
- Make sure you are on a secure network.
- Make sure you are in a quiet room with minimal distractions, and ask family or roommates for space during your session.
- Using a sound machine at your door can also help ensure your session’s privacy.
ADHD Testing
Vitality Counseling offers computerized attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) testing and screening for ages 8 and up. We will administer the test, review the results with you and discuss treatment options.
Pharmacogenetic Testing
We offer GeneSight® testing to enhance our comprehensive services. This test shows how your genes may affect your response to mental health medications.
